● Somatic trauma therapy

I work with the body, because that is where trauma stays.

I'm a somatic therapist and I specialize in trauma. I use two kinds of tools: the ones that come from science and the ones that come from very old cultures. I don't choose between them. I use them together, depending on what each person needs.

Online, and in person in Tepoztlán and Mexico City. In English and Spanish.

01 Who this work is for

Most people who come to me have already done therapy.

They understood a lot, and they still repeat the same patterns. That is not a lack of willpower. Talking simply doesn't reach the place where trauma is stored, and that place is the body.

I work mostly with three situations

Relationships

Relationships that repeat

You want deep connection and you can't sustain it. Or you keep choosing people when you already know how it ends. Or it's hard for you to trust that someone could hold you.

Creating

Projects you can't sustain

You want to start or create something, and fear or anxiety stops you. Everything feels like too much.

The body

A body that carries everything

Chronic pain, chronic anxiety, chronic illness. They are different things, but in my experience they have something in common: a nervous system that is dysregulated.

I also work with people who are afraid of death, and with people who simply feel there is more in them and want to explore it.

02 Why the body

Trauma freezes something in time. Your life keeps moving, but you are not in it.

We all have trauma. What matters is not how we define it, but how it affects you.

The body is the oldest technology we have, and it is the one we know least how to use. If we let the nervous system regulate the way it was made to, we would need very little therapy. My work is to help that happen again, so that your nervous system can regulate and you can be present again in your body, in your life and with the people around you.

It is not a magic pill.

What I can tell you is this: if you are willing to do the work, to look at what you have avoided your whole life and to do it through the body, the change is real.

03 Symbols as a tool

The other half of my work is ritual and ceremony.

I work with symbols. I might ask you to imagine your mother or your father, we might do a constellation, and if it's needed, you sit in front of the altar and speak with your ancestors.

This is not decoration. It is a tool, just like breathing or a regulation exercise. Symbols reach the unconscious by a road that words can't take. Jung understood this a hundred years ago, and ancestral cultures understood it long before him.

The more I have rooted my work in the body, the more connected it has become to the elements and to what I call spirit. For me they are not two worlds. They go hand in hand.

04 How I work

Four roots, one process.

No two processes are the same. The tools we use depend on your story and on where you are.

Somatic Experiencing

Peter Levine's method for releasing trauma through the body rather than through the story.

PSIPPsychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy

I use it with and without medicine. It is relational, body-based work grounded in neuroscience.

Jungian psychology

I work with images, with symbols and with the parts of you that you don't know yet.

Ritual and ceremony

The altar, the elements, the ancestors. They are tools, not decoration.

05 The process

This is a process, not open-ended therapy.

It has a beginning, an end and an intention. When it ends, you decide whether you want to open another one.

Step 1 · 15 minutes · free

A free call

You tell me what brings you, and we see whether it makes sense for us to work together.

Step 2 · before we start

A form

If we decide to work together, I send you a form that helps me understand your story before we begin.

Step 3 · one a week

Four sessions

By the end of the fourth session I know what we need to work on, and you decide how deep you want to go.

Step 4 · the minimum I recommend

Three months

One session a week for three months. The nervous system changes through repetition, not through a good explanation.

Step 5 · your choice

Then you renew, if you want to

In packs or in single sessions, with a new intention.

06 Immersions

A few days in Tepoztlán.

When the process calls for it, we do an immersion: a few days in Tepoztlán with two or three people, to look closely at one specific part of your process. It can be with medicine or without it.

I work with therapists and practitioners from the area who add to the process: bodywork, water, the elements, ritual and ceremony.

An immersion can't be booked on its own and doesn't have a fixed price, because it is designed for you. It only makes sense inside a process we have already started.

07 About me

● Before we begin
Psychiatric medication

If you take psychiatric medication, we can work together, but I need to be in contact with your psychiatrist. This is not negotiable, and it is for your safety.

Medicine and ceremony

I don't offer ceremonies or substances on their own. Everything I use is a tool inside a therapeutic process.

Language

I work in Spanish and in English. Half of the people I work with live in Mexico and the other half live in the United States.

● The first step

Let's start with a call.

It takes fifteen minutes and it's free. You tell me what brings you, and I tell you honestly whether I think I can help.
